Day 2: Two pairs of shoes, both with stories.
I wore the patent leather Converse for my sister’s wedding. They’re fun and attention-getting. Since the wedding I have only worn them a couple of times. Frankly they are not very comfortable, and I don’t choose my shoes based on their flash. I’m more of a black suede Merrell type.
The blue loafers were brand new for my New York trip last summer, and they were a poor idea. I didn’t break them in properly before spending 3 days hiking miles around Manhattan. My heels were shredded badly. I ended up folding them over and wearing them as sandals. Eventually they softened, but they never became truly comfortable.
Off they both go. . .
