I am a fan of the Vermont-based crime fiction of Archer Mayor. When the opportunity recently presented itself to drop by the epicenter of all things Joe Gunther, I had to bring my camera.  This real-life locale is the opening setting for 1999’s “Occam’s Razor.”

I always find it interesting to compare an author’s description of a place to my reality.  Mayor seems to be spot on with Brattleboro.  I highly recommend his books.
