Incident 10-403, 10 Feb 2010, 18:47 hrs. Mack505 commanding. The weathermen predicted snow today. Lots of it. All day yesterday, the totals and the excitement crept up. The storm was supposed to be here for the morning rush hour.
Then it was coming at noon.
Then it was coming for the evening rush hour.
Twelve hours later, here it is:

Dispatcher Buddy hung up the phone and swore in my general direction. “That was Local Nursing Facility. They have a code, and I have no-one to send. What do I do?”
